Research Associate II/III, Translational Sciences/Quantitative Pharmacology

Description

Summary:

The Translational Sciences department is seeking a highly motivated and creative research associate to assist with critical reagent discovery and bioanalytical assay development. This work will support the advancement of multiple antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) and immuno-oncology biotherapeutics from late-stage research into clinical development. The successful candidate will have experience in standard and exploratory bioanalytical techniques that can be used to characterize the pharmacokinetics, pharmacology, biodistribution, and/or stability of antibody-based drugs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of ligand binding assays, immunopurification techniques, and novel bioanalytical methods used to measure and characterize therapeutic drugs or novel drug-linker platforms in various biological matrices.
  • Participate in the evaluation and implementation of these methods to characterize therapeutic drugs in in vitro and in vivo studies and models.
  • Perform physical, kinetic, and functional screening and characterization of critical reagents.
  • Organize/maintain hybridoma and mAb libraries. Manage DNA sequencing and perform cloning of lead critical reagent candidates.
  • Analyze, summarize, and present data in group meetings and contribute to discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biological Sciences or related discipline with a minimum 3 years (+BS) or 1 year (+MS) of relevant research/industry experience.
  • Experience with standard immunoassays and protein characterization.
  • Experience with bioanalytical principles and techniques (including assay development), hybridoma generation, and tissue culture is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative work environment and communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally.
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills, computer and analytical programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Unifi, SoftMax Pro), and familiarity with database management.
