Summary

The Senior Human Resource Specialist is responsible for supporting HR operational activities including employee data management, governance, reporting and analytics, HR policy development, business process design, improvement, and deployment. The Senior HR Specialist acts as an employee champion and change agent, assessing and anticipating HR-related needs while communicating needs proactively with HR and business management. As an individual contributor, this person is responsible for ensuring current SLAs remain high, while looking for strategy-aligned opportunities to measure and improve both the employee experience and operational efficiencies. Responsibilities include responding to field requests and supporting leaders with human resources training and development such as performance management, employee engagement, talent acquisition and turnover reduction. Develops relationships of trust and maintains regular dialogue with location leaders. Recommends new processes, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in services performed.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Support all Seattle Genetics HR operational activities.<.li>
  • Lead HR Operational business process engineering/improvement for Compensation, Performance Management, and Talent Development.
  • Lead HR Business Reporting for internal customers and stakeholders, including requirements gathering, design, quality assurance, and analysis.
  • Provide HR operational and administrative support to the HR team as needed such as employee facing events like Benefits Fairs or All Hands Meetings.
  • Exercises judgment when dealing with confidential information and ensuring accurate and timely distribution of information.
  • Support Compensation and Total Rewards Team in open enrollment and merit/bonus/equity planning coordination, scheduling, communications prep and meeting management.
  • Enters HRIS-OneSource changes/updates as needed.
  • Lead I-9 Reverification audit and process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Facilitates company-wide Friday Morning Meetings: new hire presentations, service awards, announcements, and agenda communication.
  • Complete all Verification of Employment and letters of employment.
  • Supports HR Special Projects.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of previous professional HR experience.
  • Compensation, Performance Management, Learning experience preferred.
  • Fully proficient with the MS Office suite; PowerPoint and Excel knowledge required.
  • Experience in working within a variety of HR Information Systems.
  • Strong work ethic, results focused, attention to detail, not afraid to roll up sleeves and pitch in.
  • Customer focused.

Education:

  • College degree required.
  • PHR, SHRM, or other HR Certification preferred
