Bay Area Biotechnology Education Consortium (BABEC) -- BABEC is a nonprofit supporting high school biotech education in the Bay Area by providing free training, equipment, and materials for science teachers.

Building a Presence for Science Program in California (CABAP) -- The national Building a Presence model developed by the National Science Teachers Association aims to help reduce teacher isolation by enlisting and supporting a teacher Point of Contact (POC) in every public and private school.

California BioHistory -- Learn about significant milestones in the historical development of California's biotechnology & medical technology industry.

California Parent Teachers Association (PTA) -- The California State PTA aims to empower and support members with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication to positively impact the lives of all children.

California Science Olympiad -- The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. Center for Science & Engineering Education (CSEE) -- Part of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, the CSEE strives to educate and train the next generation of scientists and engineers to promote national science and education goals. This website provides links to information and resources for students and teachers at the precollege, community college and university level.

Exploratorium -- Housed within the walls of San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts, the Exploratorium is a collage of hundreds of science, art, and human perception exhibits. The Exploratorium is a leader in the movement to promote museums as educational centers.

Industry Initiatives for Science and Math Education (IISME) -- IISME is a consortium of San Francisco Bay Area companies in partnership with the Lawrence Hall of Science at the University of California at Berkeley. IISME seeks to transform teaching and learning through industry-education partnerships. They provide teachers with experiences and tools they need to adapt their practices and change their schools so that all students are prepared to be lifelong learners, responsible citizens, and productive employees.

K-12 and the University of California -- The University of California (UC) has joined with public schools, other postsecondary institutions and educational agencies, businesses, and communities to improve education for California's students. Lawrence Hall of Science -- Lawrence Hall of Science (LHS) is a singular resource center for preschool through high school science and mathematics education, and a public science center with exciting hands-on experiences for learners of all ages.

Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT) -- Serving Silicon Valley, RAFT provides professional training and large volumes of cost-effective hands-on materials to pre-K-12 teachers. Using RAFT materials, students learn about math, science, art, and technology in fun and creative ways.

Science Education Partnership (SEP) -- The SEP Program is a long running partnership between the University of California at San Francisco and the San Francisco Unified School District which brings grad students, postdocs, faculty etc. into classrooms.

Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) -- The goal of the K-12 Education Program at SACNAS is the ensure that elementary, middle, and high school students from traditionally underrepresented minority backgrounds receive superior education opportunities, role models, and the encouragement needed to pursue careers in science, mathematics, engineering, and technology.
